WHAT THE SOLDIER THINKS"

In November, 1944, "The Spectator " published an article from a Captain in the British Liberation Army on the atti- tude of the average soldier—officer or other ranks—on the problems which concern hint in the Army, and will concern him when he returns to civil life. The contribution created such widespread interest, and evoked so large a variety of comment, that it has been decided to republish the original article, and a selection from the articles and letters which followed it, in booklet form, as documentary evidence of the opinions a certain proportion, at any rate, of the men in the Forces today are holding and expressing.

The booklet—Demy 8vo 24 pp. and cover—is now on sale at bookstalls throughout the country. Copies can also be obtained from "The Spectator" office, 99, Gower Street, London, W .C.1, at 7d., post paid.
