THE EX-KAISER'S AUTOBIOGRAPHY : A CORRECTION

[To the Editor of the SPECTATOR.] Sia,—In last week's instalment of My Early Life, by the ex- German Emperor, he describes a visit to London in the 'eighties " (apparently on the occasion when he called upon Lord Beaconsfield, who died in 1882). The ex-Emperor states that he found his way to the art galleries and collections such as the British Museum, the National Gallery and the Wallace Collection. The Wallace Collection was not opened till 1900. I believe most of the contents were in Paris in the
