CORNWALL AND A LIGHT CAR. By Filson Young. (Mills and

Boon. 2s. 6d.) MR. Fusox Yormo has made a good little book about his last summer's experiments with two British light cars (a 4-cylinder and a 6-cylinder) on 5,000 miles of country roads in Cornwall. In the 6-cylinder he drove 2,669 miles, with only twenty-eight minutes attention to the car, averaging 24.5 miles to the gallon. On the return journey he went from Land's End to London in top gear, which speaks well for British engine design.
