The Journal of Education. (W. Rico.) — This "monthly record and review

" of the higher education continues to do an excellent work in its proper sphere. An editorial in the first number of the year just past, contains some self-congratulation, which, indeed, is thoroughly justified, warm acknowledgment of services rendered, and promises of more extended usefulness in the future, All this is as it should be. The Journal is, beyond compare, the best of the periodicals that concern themselves with education, and deserves all the success that it has obtained, and more. If its conductor could conquer the besetting temptation to be smart, -take a little more time to think—and really a monthly periodical should find the opportunity—and amend one or two little faults, it would be still better than it is.
