Mario reappeared for the season at the Royal Italian Opera

on Tues- day. He played the part of Gennaro in luerezia Borgia, but with less effect than usual; for he evidently laboured under indisposition, which affected not only his voice but his whole performance. Ronson, too, who should have appeared as the Duke, was likewise indisposed ; and the part was taken by Zelger. These circumstances—though Grisi ex- erted herself to the utmost—made the opera go off but coldly.
