THE SACRED USE.

THE body is the spirit's cell, But 'tis the avenue as well Charged, through the finite, to transmit The message of the infinite.

'Tis by the aid of mortal eyes That man immortal truths descries; 'Tis by the aid of mortal ears That he immortal tidings hears, And by the help of every sense May recognise God's providence.
