General Marshall in Mesopotamia has continued his pursuit of the

retreating Turks on the road to Mosul. Last Saturday our cavalry were at Altun Keupri, the " Golden Bridge," on the Lesser Zab, and drove the Turks across the river. Altun Keupri is about eighty miles south• of Mosul and one hundred and seventy miles north of Baghdad. The Turks are evidently short of men. In order to resist General Allenby in Palestine and to conduct a campaign in the Caucasus, they have had to denude Northern Mesopotamia of troops. General Marihall's threat to Mosul will embarrass them.
