French angle

Sir: In your issue of 4 November you print a letter from an Australian reader complain- ing about 'culture' or something. You have headed this letter Tommie arrogance'. This offensive and hostile letter is, of course, a prime example of Ocker arrgance. It is 'politically incorrect' even to those of us who have the grave misfortune to be born English.

Of course I realise it is a grave crime to have read the Bible not to mention liking French. But we'll try to do better in future, perhaps starting with research into the ori- gins of 'Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport' and remembering that Wagga Wagga doesn't have a hyphen.
