The modest narrative of a daring exploit is to be

read in Through the Grand Canyon from Wyoming to Mexico, by Ellsworth L. Kolb (Macmillan and Co., 8s. 6d. net), which describes a trip taken by Mr. Kolb and his brother in the pur- suit of their business as landscape photographers. They had many hairbreadth escapes, and brought back many striking pictures here reproduced.
