Foulness by another name

A name, they say, is wanted for the new air- port. Under Mr Harold Wilson we should have been stuck with some toadying title like Queen Elizabeth or Prince Charles airport. My own choice, for which 1 should like to claim any prizesgoing, is that the proper name should be London Airport since an inevitable consequence, for which most of us who do not live there (and property specu- lators) should be truly grateful is that Lon- don will start looking eastwards again for the first time since the Stuarts. The sequacious ministers who very properly ignored Roskill and followed their leader might commemo- rate this great event by calling the present London Airport Heath-Row.
