Autobiography of a Highland Minister. (Hodder and Stoughton.) —This book,

almost wholly occupied as it is with an analysis of the writer's religious emotions and convictions, is not a fit subject 'for criticism. The question whether it should have been pub- lished may well be left to the discretion of those who are responsible for its appearance. The only part to which a -reviewer need call attention is the treatment of the question -of subscription. The autobiographist was strongly in favour a a considerable relaxation in its terms.
