Sir: In his interesting article about Coll- ingwood's autobiography in the Spectator (16 January), Jo Grimond states that the book lacks an index. This was indeed true of its earlier incarnation, but we added an index in the most recent reprint (1978), and this index will appear also in the next reprint, due later this year (at the time of writing the book is temporarily unavailable).
