Another electric supply company which *continues to make progress is the Newcastle-upon-Tyne Electric Supply, which during the past year has secured profits of £702,000 as com- pared with 1660,000 in -the previous year and £020,000 in the year 1923. Moreover, during the past two years, £50,000 has been placed each year to Renewals; and-050010 to a special Depreciation Account. In spite of the material increase in profits for the past year, the sound policy has been pursued of maintaining the `oidinity dividend-at 7 per cent.
