The news was telegraphed by cable from Cape Town to

Mozambique, and thence forwarded by steamer, via Zanzibar, to Aden. The next division of the cable, from Mozambique to Zanzibar, will be finished next week; and by mid-October, Cape Town should be in instantaneous communication with both London and Calcutta, an immense increase to the strength of the authorities in South Africa.
