ROOKS IN HYDE PARK.

[Torus EDITOR OP THE "SPECTATOR:] SIR,—Has our old friend the rook (corrus frugivorus) returned to the Park It has been said that he took fright on the introduction into London of his enemy the common crow (ror "us rorone). Rooks' nests used to be very common in the high trees found in Connaught Square, but of late years none have been seen. To-day, however, there are ten nests in these trees, and several others on the south side of the Park. Perhaps some kindly ornithologist will investigate the matter and report to you.—! am, Sir, &c., P. W.
