The Faith of a Realist. By James Copner. (Williams and

Norgate.)—Mr. Copner'e book is an able and well-reasoned effort to show that the belief in an intelligent and beneficent ruler of the world is not inconsistent with, but, on the contrary, is explanatory of, the scientific truths which may be said to be of universal acceptance. We cannot discuss his argument ; but we may commend the reason which ho gives for the faith that is in him to the careful attention of the student and, we may add, the divine.
