NEWS OF THE WEEK.

IT is with great regret that we again record the fact that the Prime Minister's condition shows no improvement. The continuance of a state of which the best that can be said is that there is no change necessarily causes very great anxiety. Sympathy for the Prime Minister is universal, but the feeling is growing that there is little hope of his ever being able to resume the duties of his office, even if happily his life can be prolonged.
