BBC Impartiality

SIR,—An error in stating the broadcast time has enabled the BBC to produce an analysis of a French-language broadcast quite different from the one of which I complain. This is clever but not quite honest. The BBC's Chief Publicity Officer. Europe. knows perfectly well that two days before the general election his French-language service broadcast on the medium wave a long article from the Guardian eulogising the Socialist government to the exclusion of other opinions and that furthermore the 'broadcast was impudently called a 'revue de la presse britannique.' This is the broadcast 1 would like to see analy‘ed, and explained—if, indeed, any creditable explanation is possible.
