SIR,—There are cogent arguments for and against the use of

wafer bread at Holy Communion. It doesn't resemble ordinary, everyday bread; but it is much more convenient to handle. It can, of course, be described as rather tasteless. But it could hardly be more tasteless than Monica Furlong's reference to 'asbestos disks.'—Yours faithfully,
