Sir: I wonder whether your readers can help me with a little research. I'd like to hear of any novel that mentions the birth-date of one or more of its characters. The nature of my research becomes clear if I disclose that I am an astrologer. Incidentally, for those watching BBC 2 I know about Eyeless in Gaza; it gave me the idea in the first place.
