I .0 . I . INTERIM.

In making their announcement recently of an increase in the interim dividend from 24 per cent. to 3 per cent., the directors of Imperial Chemical Industries are careful to state that this increase should not be regarded as indicating any increase in the full dividend for the year. The object of the increase is to bring the interim dividend into better relationship with the final dividend for the year. It will be remembered that the rate of dividend for each of the last three years has been 8 per

cent. per annum, paid as to 2 per cent. interim and 5 per cent. final. When the dividend rate was previously at 8 per cent. per annum, before the depression, the distribution was

made as to 3 per cent. interim and 5 per cent. final. * * * *
