QUALCAST PROFITS.

It was almost immediately before the lengthy depression that Qualcast, makers of lawn mowers, precision castings,

&c., made its appearance as a public company, and its record has been an excellent one. Even throughout the depression the dividend was never less than the 124 per cent. paid, for the first year of its existence as a public company, and the' distribution has. steadily risen and the last report, covering the year ending June 3oth last, is one of the best, the distribution being raised to 3o per cent., of which 10 per cent. is repre- sented by a bonus. The net profit of £74,900 was a high record and, while the distribution to the shareholders was 3o per cent. the actual earnings were on the basis of 46 per cent. on the ordinary capital.
