Co. 7s. 6d. net.)--The pages of Mr. James Warner Belittles novel are as frantically crowded with events and emotions as are the years of youth. English readers will find the American slang exceedingly puzzling, especially as the latter half of each sentence is generally represented by a dash. The picture of life in New York is also anything but attractive, but there is a certain vigour in the writing.
