My own restlessness to go as far north as possible

during my holiday will, I imagine, be common to most of us. At most times of the year Scotland is so inaccessible to anyone but Scotsmen that the traveller feels it incumbent upon him to see as much as possible in the time at band. For this reason it is best to adhere to several centres in turn, and to cover as wide a distance as possible in daily tours from these points.
