TN the region of foreign affairs there is no event of special

importance to record, unless it be Mr. Wilson's new triumph in the passage of the Currency Bill. That measure, having passed through the Senate on Tuesday, received the signature of the President the same evening. The World, in commenting on the passage of the Act, says : "The President has thus accomplished the impossible. Two years ago any man would have been laughed at as a fool if he had ventured to predict that a Democratic President and a Democratic Congress could accomplish in four years what his Adminis- tration has accomplished in four months. The 'schoolmaster,' the professor,' as his opponents sneeringly dubbed him, has given his country a new lesson in the art of government."
