The Queen's ship Vindictive has arrived from the Pacific, with

papers from Rio de Janeiro to the 11th of June, and from Valparaiso to the 28th of April. There is nothing in the Brazil papers. The de facto Government of Peru, under Vivanca, had blockaded the port of Arica; while the insurgents in the South were interrupting all communication with the interior. The English merchants at Valparaiso had called on Colonel Walpole, the British Chargé d'Affaires, to prevent in- terruption of their trade with Arica ; much favouritism having been shown in a former blockade of that port, especially towards the French. Colonel Walpole replied, that be would send a British force to watch the blockade, and that if not strictly enforced it should be no longer respected ; but before that he could not interfere. The Government party was losing ground, and another revolution was expected.
