AMELIA MOUSER.

[TO 7'HE EDITOR OF THE "SPECTATOR."]

SIR,—This is an appeal to your elderly readers. Can they help me to trace "Mrs. Mouser "? In the "fifties " of last century, or thereabouts, some comic paper published a series of "Mrs. Mouser's Letters." They dealt (something in the manner of the more famous Mrs. Caudle) with social and domestic topics. They referred a good deal to "Mouser's" doings, and were signed "Amelia Mouser." I always believed that they appeared in Punch, but I cannot find them there.—I am, Sir, &c., GEORGE W. E. RUSSELL.
