SPECTATOR.] • have read you for many and many a year. You are quite right to mix the advertisements with the " matter.' I've often thought of letting you know that I admired you for it. The advertisements are not nasty things as a rule at any rate, and it does make such a difference if they are brought in the natural course Under our eye—makes them so much more effective.
