MAYPOLE DAIRIES.

The Report of the Maypole Dairy Company makes a cheerful showing as compared with the statement of a year ago, when, owing largely to severe competition, no dividend could be declared on the Deferred Ordinary shares. Last year, however, the net profits not only exceeded those of the previous year by over. £300,000, but they materially exceeded the figures for 1923. After declaring a dividend at the rate of 174 per cent. on the Deferred as compared with nothing last year and 124 per cent. in 1928; and after, moreover, adding a special amount of £10,000 to the Provident Fund, the carry forward of £151,800 is still about £14,000 greater than last year. The balance sheet also reveals a satisfactory position.
