SIR,—Thank-you for your article on birds' eggs ; but in the last sentence but one I fear you are mistaken. The Shetland owners can only with difficulty protect themselves. The law of trespass in Scotland is not as it is in England. Their only remedy is to apply, in each individual case, to the Court of Session for an "interdict," a cumbrous, slow, and very expensive process.
