Boyish bard

From Mr Trevor Lyttleton Sir: I was fascinated to see your City editor, Christopher Fildes, waxing poetic in your correspondence columns (21 June).

I still recall the following gem, possibly his first published poem, which appeared in my old school magazine, The Cliftonian, which he edited with great distinction more than half a century ago: Alexander Borgia Was cheat, liar and forger, So when they wanted a Pope No one else had a hope!
