From Mrs Florence M. Hooper Sir: It is an extraordinary

sign of our times that the moment someone tries to put forward a sensible view on human sexuality, they are black-listed as a 'Victorian moralist.' in the field of sex education which calls for concern and I applaud Dr John Linklater for bringing some of the nonsense to the public's attention. The latest notion is that provided contraceptives are used sex is perfectly all right regardless of age which is patent stupidity. As for Miss Claire Rayner's letter (December 15), I would refer her to some of the letters of 'advice' she pours out weekly to young girls. She constantly ignores the fact that there is an 'age of consent' for sound health, emotional and psychological reasons. Her frequent attempts to undermine parental responsibility are deplorable.

It is time that the Director of Public Prosecutions took action and the subversive messages in some of these teenage magazines were outlawed. Florence M. Hooper, 8 Redcliffe Square, London SW10
