Singapore

Sir: We are engaged in writing and compiling a book to be called One Hundred and Fifty Years of Singapore to be issued next year to mark the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the founding of modern Singapore. In this venture we are working closely with the Singa- pore International Chamber of Commerce who will be the joint publishers with ourselves. It is our intention to tell the story of Singapore largely through the words of the people who lived at the time and we are therefore interested to hear from anyone who has in his or her possession documents, letters or papers, includ- ing illustrations, of any kind relating to histori- cal Singapore. Any papers borrowed" would be treated with the greatest care, copied, and returned at once.
