Sta,—Your correspondent in the last issue of the Spectator quote. a passage from Measure for Measure, Act II., Scene ii., as pointing to the doctrine of the Atonement. May not the same be said of the following words, spoken by John of Gaunt, Richard II., Act IL, Scene I.: "The world's ransom, blessed Mary's Son "?—I am, Sir,
