BRAVE NEW UNDERWORLD SIR,—The last Soho strip club I visited

announced very firmly that 'Ladies Are Not Admitted,' and I am glad to learn from Mr. Kenneth Allsop's letter that this reactionary and obscurantist sex-discrimi- nation is the exception and not (as I had mistakenly supposed) the London rule. To a staunch upholder of woman's rights, like myself, it is heartening to know that those stalwarts of fifty years ago did not chain themselves for nothing to Mr. Asquith's rail- ings, or hunger-strike in vain.—Yours faithfully.
