Sir: Jennifer Paterson (Restaurant, 12 March): '. . . I had two types of goats' cheese in prime condition, chevre and a little round one'. Are we next going to have Auberon Waugh writing: 'I tasted two types of fine burgundy wines, bour- gogne and a nice white one'?

Perhaps you, sir, can invest in a copy of Larousse des Fromages for your restaurant correspondent so that she will know what she's writing about and your readers will know what she has eaten.
