f We have taken pains to procure as correct a list as possible of the numbers polled in the late contests. But we are prepared to learn that there are still some errors in the account. The fact is, that on the close of the polls, the numbers are often transmitted in a great hurry ; and it is not thought worth while, except in a very few instances, to send the corrected statement of the Returning Officer. And indeed, minute accuracy in this matter is not of great importance ; though large blunders should be cor- rected.
