Dante's Divine Comedy : the Purgatorio. A Prose Translation, by

the late William Stratford Dugdale. (Bell and Sons.)—Mr. W. S. Dugdale had just finished this translation before the accident which terminated his life. It seems to be fairly literal, and at the same time can be read with some satisfaction. The original is printed below, the text followed being that of Signor Brunone Bianchi, and there are notes explanatory of difficulties and allusions. The book will certainly be useful to students.
