The Allied Governments were strongly represented at a Con- ference

on Balkan affairs held in Paris last week. The Conference, it was officially announced, resolved that the troops of France, Great Britain, and Italy should forthwith evacuate Old 010006, Thessaly, and Epirus, except the coast district north of Sand Quaranta and the island of Corfu, which, though recognized as Greek, will remain in Allied occupation. The Allies, "morn than ever united in defence of the rights of the people," renewed their pledge "not to lay dow-n their alms until they have attained the aim which in their eyes dominates all others, that of making lm. possible a renewal of criminal aggression such as that for which the autocratic Central Empires hear the responsibility."
