In the "Arden Shakespeare," edited by R. H. Case, in

succession to W. J. Craig (Methuen and Co.), we have Shakespeare's Poems, edited by C. Knox Pooler. The history of each poem, its ante- cedents, reception by the public, and other matters are fully dealt with. It is interesting to note that six editions of Venus and Adonis were published in the poet's lifetime, of Lucrece four, and of The Passionate Pilgrim three.
