Germany at a Glance : Everybody's Aid to the Map

Reading of Central Europe (William Clowes, ls. 6d. net) ought to prove a most useful supplement to a map in the task of rapidly mastering the main outlines of German geography. The chief physical features of the country (such as rivers and mountains) are briefly described, and the towns and political boundaries are then placed in relation to them ; in this way a clear mental picture of the whole country is quickly obtained. The author tells us that the book was originally designed for the benefit of our soldiers in the field ; let us hope that they may soon have the opportunity of using it.
