The Poor-law Commissioners have issued a circular letter, addressed to

the Clerks of the several Boards of Guardians, explaining some points to be observed in the administration of the Removal Act. It is a mistake to suppose that resident poor, who are neither settled nor to be classed as casual poor, are not to be relieved until some parish be found liable to re- pay the amount spent upon them. Nor ought any difference to be made in the quantity or quality of relief afforded to paupers settled or paupers simply irremoveable.

The Morning Post contradicts the statement that the experiment with Captain Warner's " long range " was a " total failure." " We are sorry that it is not in our power to give the real facts of the case at the present mo- ment; but we are enabled to announce that the paragraph alluded to is al- together false. The writer is inaccurate in place, person, and fact. More we are not at liberty to disclose."
