Joseph, a Dancing Bear. By John Barnett. (Eveleigh Nash. 6s.)—`

Joseph,' born in the Jardin des Plantes, comes into the possession of two Frenchmen, Henri and Charles, is brought over to England, and has various adventures, beginning with a jump into a motor-car. These are told in a sufficiently amusing way, but the art of putting the vox humane into the mouth of a beast is really a difficult literary feat.
