The Art Treasures of London (Painting). By Hugh Stokes. (Arnold

Fairbaims and Co. 3s. 6d. net.)—This is a most useful little volume. Any one wishing to ascertain where examples of a

given painter are to be found has only to look out the painter in this book, and he will find what is to be seen of his work in fifteen different galleries in and near London. The Oxford and Cambridge University Galleries have also been included owing to their nearness to London. The book is more than a mere catalogue, for a few judicious words of description are given to each painter, and altogether the work is one which the student of pictures will not care to be without. We should like to suggest the addition of pictures in private collections within the same area.
