Unfair to Skeff ?

Sir: I must take issue with your correspon- dent, A. Walker (21 June), on the subject of Auberon Waugh's brilliant creation T. C. Skeffington-Lodge. So far from being `boring', he is to my mind one of the truly comic characters of modern times—worthy to be set beside any of the human absur- dities depicted by Mr Waugh's father. I beg you to encourage Mr Waugh to continue with his saga, not to curtail it.
