SIR,—Mr. Alan Brien is wrong in assuming, in his review of The Courage of his Convictions, that Robert Allerton will now cash in on his notoriety.

He has already been asked for both a novel and a film-script, to appear on television and be inter- viewed on radio, and to meet several interested prominent people. He has refused to do any of these things, takes no interest in reviews, and has now disappeared.

Far from summing him up, Mr. Brien has missed the point completely.
