SIR, — 1 have been asked to write the official biography of
the late Lord Birkett, with the agree- ment of his family.
Besides the law, Lord Birkett had many other interests, including literature, Anglo-American re- lations, cricket and the preservation of the English countryside. He also had many friends, drawn from different walks in life. 1 should bC glad to hear from anyone who knew him or corresponded with him and can let me have any letters and personal recollections, which they consider of sufficient in- terest to justify inclusion or reference in a bio- graphy.
