THE LAW RELATING TO AUTHORS AND PUB-. LISHERS. By B.

Mackay Cloutman, V.C., and Francis W. Luck. (John Bale, Sons and Danielsson. 7s. 6d.)—The shrewdest author or the wisest publisher might read with profit Messrs. Cloutman and Luck's admirable little exposition of the law relating to their special problems. Mr. Luck is the solicitor to the Federation of Master Printers and thus brings special experience to the aid of his barrister-colleague. The book deals not merely with authors' agreements and with copyright in its various phases but also with journalistic matters, especially -libel and competitions. The Act of 1911 is printed in full in the appendix. The authors give also a summary of the recent Act forbidding the publication of the details of divorce cases—an Act which has effected a most desirable reform.
