We are very glad to know that the report of

Sir Horace Phuakett's death in America, to which all the English papers gave currency last week, was untrue. An American telegraphist' error in transmitting a message about Sir Horace Plunkett's movements enabled Sir Horace to enjoy the unusual privilege of reading his own obituary notices. As they were all very friendly, no great harm has been done.
