Prince Alfred has come from the Cape of Good Hope,
but the Prince of Wales still lingers on the Atlantic. The Hero is a slow craft, and it is conjectured that, having expended their coals, the Prince's ship and her consorts are beating up to the chan- nel against a headwind. In fact, the wind has blown steadily from the East ever since the Prince quitted Portland. This fact should lessen any apprehension that may be felt for the safety of the heir to the throne. He will probably have had a tedious pas- sage, nothing more.
